Sonnet 5

Eclipse my heart and hold me still and sweet.

Another day has dawned; my dreams wake fresh,

Still on the tip of all my thoughts here seat:

My princess, you, in queenly fashion flesh.

No moon could block thy rays divinely told

To boldly shine, heat, warm my morning thought;

For what dark night once stood in evening cold,

Is bound to hell, expelled as darkness ought.

Be my warm morning sun and shield the night,

Wake me with thy bright morning kisses gold,

Be that soft morning song that whispers light,

And fade nor change still when thy beams are old.

Oh morning love, my evening heart still be,

And shine and mend my dreams eternally.
